Artist Captures Spirit of the Horse in Steel



Known for his work in stone, awarding winning artist Dwayne Cranford turns his hand to creating metal into sculpture. Dwayne has always been interested in metal sculpture and for years has created pieces for his own enjoyment and special commissioned pieces for friends and family. Now he has decided to go big and create works of art for people who enjoy metal sculpture that is unique and beautifully designed.

To commence Dwayne’s latest venture he has launched a new website, www.Metal2Sculpture.com . The website features Dwayne’s newest sculptures, “Iron Mustang“ and “Chisel.” These representational equine sculptures capture the exciting spirit and lively personality of the horse. Staged together in a stunning scene of two horses sparing, Dwayne has created a monumental display. Iron Mustang is a one of a kind work of art, standing at 11 feet tall with 1/8" welded steel, while Chisel is 9 feet tall and 8.5 feel long. These two sculptures together are majestic, powerful and highlight the artistic ability that Dwayne possesses. Obsessed with quality, Dwayne never cuts corners and puts emphasis in making the sculptures life like as seen through the artist eye. Dwayne works with stone, recycled steel, copper, stainless steel and aluminum.

These sculptures are designed for those who enjoy art that isn’t over done but is simple in nature and beautiful in design. Dwayne’s sculptures are designed to look at home in the garden, at the gate of the ranch, by the pond, in a large commercial area or in a home. Dwayne also accepts requests for custom commissioned pieces.
