Blue Stain Beetle Kill Chairs, who knew that something so destructive could create such beauty? We have partnered with a local woodworker to bring you handcrafted, high-end wood furniture. By using traditional woodworking techniques and sustainable practices we are able to salvage and preserve wood that would otherwise spend years decomposing in the forest and raising fire hazard. All the wood we use is locally harvested, including Beetle Kill Pine, Aspen, Ash and Bristle Cone Pine (the oldest tree in the world) . This is just beautiful! The way the chair seats are cut you can acctually count the rings to see how old the tree was that gave you this beautiful chair.
Lightweight aluminum frames will never rust, these chairs weigh in around 60 lbs each.
The blue stain on the seat is natural from the beetles that have lived in the tree.
